The best places to practise yoga

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

How you really can do yoga anywhere

I'm a firm believer in practising yoga wherever and whenever you can - it's not just for the studio or even indoors. As if proof were needed, this is me in our vegetable garden last summer attempting a Bird of Paradise!

During the coronavirus pandemic, we have all had to adjust where we do yoga - we can no longer meet up in studios or village halls, so our living rooms have become the new yoga studio and Zoom has become a 'must-have' app for all of us. In fact, many of my clients would like to continue with online yoga classes once we are back to normal service.

But there are always plenty of opportunities to do yoga even in 'normal' times. If you are looking for inspiration, then look no further than this excellent book from Lucy Makin of Stable Yoga in Kintbury, West Berkshire, where I run my Mostly for Men class (women are also welcome!) on Saturday mornings.

Including lots of illustrative drawings to help you achieve the right position, this book opens up new possibilities for incorporating yoga into your every day.

You can buy the book online from Stable Yoga - and it's highly recommended!
